About “Debes ir a la Selva”
This painting was made upon a visualization journey, part of the course “Rituales para Crear” as a longing for both my human family who live there and longing for resting in mama nature’s healing jungle. During this visualization journey the phrase “debes ir a la selva a descansar” which means "you must go to the jungle and rest" kept repeating on my heart. All the plants featured in the painting are plants from the Amazon: Ginger, Turmeric, Banana Leaf, Bird of Paradise, Banisteriopsis caapi and more.
